The Hatchling

The Hatchling
by Kathry Lasky

Nyra has laid an egg, she calls it the Sacred Orb. When it hatched, she named him Nyroc. He was born on the day of the Lunar Eclipse. They say when an egg hatches on this day he or she will have either good or bad powers. But when he discovers who he truly is, he tries to escape from his mother Nyra to go find the Great Ga' Hoole Tree. He and Phillip are on a mission. They get tracked and found by the Pure Ones and brought back to St. Aegolies Canyons. When his special ceremony has come he has to kill his beloved guard, Phillip, A.K.A. Dusty Tuft. He refuses to kill him because he is loyal to Nyroc. Nyra kills Dusty Tuft herself. When he hears about his fathers death, he realizes that it was a Great Gray who killed his father, not his Uncle Pure Ones and set out to find the truth about his past, his present and his future.

Warriors Sunset

Warriors Sunset
by Erin Hunter

In this book Hollyleaf, Joyfeather & Lionblaze discover that Squirrelflight & Brawbleclaw are not their real parents. In fact Leafpool their medicine is the mother. Leafpool discover Ashfur's body on the border of the Thunder Clan & Windclan. When they discovered more they went to the gathering. At the gathering Hollyleaf spilled the truth about Squirrelflight & Brawbleclaw not being their real parents. When they got back from the gathering Jayfeather smelled Hollyleaf in the den. When he spotted her she ran out of the camp. Lionblaze and Jayfeather followed her. She explained how she was the one who killed Ashfur. Lionblaze and Jayfeather watched her go down the tunnel. They heard the water roaring and then they heard a growl. She was dead. They agreed to tell them that she was chasing a squirrel and she followed it to the tunnel.
I enjoy reading all of the Warriors series. I would recommend any of these books.
